The search for Natural perfume
Finding a perfume on the market made with 100% natural ingredients becomes an impossible mission, there is a niche sector within the world of perfumery, but “niche” does not mean “natural”, in fact, practically all niche perfumes are formulated are synthetic molecules, that does not mean that they can use a higher percentage of natural ingredients, which gives them greater complexity.
An independent perfumer who is a pioneer in the use of 100% natural ingredients for the formulation of a perfume is Marina Barcenilla, Academician of the Perfume Academy, she is an astrobiologist and scientific researcher. Marina is dedicated to dissemination and training in natural perfumery in Spanish. I include this information as there is no official training in Spain where you can train in 100% natural perfumery formulation.
I have been training with Marina Barcenilla for several years in the formulation of 100% natural perfumes, I am the CEO of the Saper Organic Skincare laboratory, where we make 100% natural cosmetic products with more than 90% organic ingredients. When I considered putting a perfume on the market, I wanted it to be in line with the laboratory’s philosophy and with the rest of the products we offer to customers. It was at that moment, looking for training in natural perfumery, when I met Marina Barcenilla and this journey began, which has now been going on for 4 years. Although knowledge of natural raw materials can take a lifetime, this step is just the beginning.
